Full details about the Society’s income and the management of its expenditure can be found by reading the Trustees’ Annual Report 2007.
The Society has a mixed economy:
- There is the income from fees and contracts paid by Local Authorities, e.g. fostering or residential care
- There are restricted funds for certain services e.g. Supporting People
- We also receive money from trust and grant making bodies such as Children in Need and the Lottery
Finally there is our voluntary income which is raised by:
- Donations from individuals and companies
- St Joseph’s Penny - this is the annual Lenten collection which takes place in Diocescan schools and colleges
- Collections and fundraising in the parishes
- Rescue Sunday - an annual appeal made in all the parishes in November
- The sale of our Christmas cards
- Legacies
- The Garden Party held in our own grounds each June
- Donations made in memory of a loved one who have died or at times of special family celebrations
- Charity evenings, Fun Days, golf tournaments...
- Gift Aid: Download our Gift Aid Declaration form. For more information on Gift Aid visit www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk/
Everyone who works for the Society is very grateful to all those involved in the organistion of fundraising events and projects. Certain services would not survive without the support of benefactors and donors.
