Post Adoption and Family Support

These are the two services that are the most dependent on donations from the public. Find out more about how you, your parish, school or organisation can help get involved in raising money for children and families in need in the North West.

Family Support and Community Development Appeal

We need £320,000 to run our Family Support Services every year (these figures do not include central running costs).

We rely solely on donations from the public to maintain this service. The Social Workers within the Family Support Team provide counselling to help children and families come to terms with a family tragedy, separation, bereavement, relationship difficulties or to ease the stresses and strains caused by poverty and discrimination.

Donations are deeply appreciated by CCRS because without them we would not be able to continue offering support to young people and their families.

How can your donation help? £60 pays for a session for I child who is living with a parent who suffering from depression and addiction.

Post Adoption Appeal

We need £168,000 (excluding central running costs) to run our post adoption service every year and we rely solely on donations from the public.

The post-adoption service provides lifelong support to adopted children and their families. It supports adults who were adopted as children through CCRS, birth parents who placed children for adoption as babies and birth relatives seeking information. Many children placed with adoptive parents are not adopted from birth and have had difficult beginnings in life. CCRS provides support to adopted children and their adoptive families where needed, to help children adjust and settle more easily with their new family.

How can your donation help? £60 pays for an hour’s play therapy for an adopted child with special needs.
