three happy childrens faces

It's all about the children

There are many reasons why a child may not reach his or her potential. There could be difficulties in the family, the school or in the community. Their parents may be beset by difficulties, their neighbourhoods could be deprived of facilities, their schooling may be disrupted.

At CCRS we believe in the right of every child to live a full existence and experience the richness of life. We are particularly concerned to reach out to the marginalised and isolated. So how do we do this?

Fostering and Adoption – CCRS is a registered Adoption and Fostering agency providing a high quality service to children, foster carers, adoptive parents and birth relatives. To find out more click onto Fostering, Post-adoption and Adoption.

Supported Accommodation – The Society is a registered provider and we have three units, in Manchester, Blackburn and Bolton where young women can live in safety and acquire the skills to look after their children and live independently.

Family Support – The CCRS team of Social Workers work in schools and parishes throughout the Diocese to help prevent family breakdown.

Residential Services – The Society provides high quality care for children and young people in the Looked After system in partnership with two Local Authorities.

Child Contact Centre – Marietta contact centre provides a range of contact services, including fully supervised contact, assessments, life story work and reports to the Court, through its safe, homely and neutral venue in Didsbury. Marietta is a member of the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC).
