Community Projects
This new venture is taking Family Support Services into the heart of communities in areas of greatest need characterised by social deprivation. Each project will enable us to support Catholic communities in developing appropriate services to meet local needs.
We will be using bases in school communities in order to reach a greater number of children and families of the Diocese.
We offer Family Support social work services including:-
- preventative casework
- counselling
- group work
- bereavement work
- parenting programmes
We also offer:
- welfare rights information
- credit union
- clothing stall
- community café
- furniture recycling
We have a starting point of three venues and sessions will take place at these sites at the times listed below. The projects are based at:
- St Mary’s, Horwich: Tuesdays 10:00am - 12:30pm
- St Dunstan’s, Moston: Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm
- Lalley Welcome Centre, St Malachy’s, Collyhurst: Thursdays 9:00am - 12.00am
