St Joseph Penny Collection
As Lent draws to an end the schools will be counting up the money to send into CCRS. This money, which has been raised in so many imaginative ways by children across the Diocese is vital as it means we can continue our work with families and children who need help now. We would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for all the effort and hard work and we hope you had a happy and peaceful Easter.
Soft Play Day - Take-A-Break
We are having a Soft Play Day on 24th March between 11am and 1pm, with lunch provided at Sparth Community Centre on Norman Road, Rochdale. Entrance is free and open to all users of the scheme including children, their families and Carers. It is also open to anyone interested in becoming a Carer with Take-a-Break.
Arts & Crafts Day
Take-a-Break is holding an Arts & Crafts Day on 3rd February between 11am and 1pm.
The event is open to all the children that use our scheme, their families and carers too. We are also hoping to encourage anyone who is interested in becoming a Short Break Carer with the scheme or just wants some more information about the work we do, to attend the event. Entry is free and light refreshments will be provided. We ask that anyone wishing to attend will telephone 01706-646760 and speak to a member of the Team and confirm attendance.
Rescue Family Mass
Rescue Family Mass will be celebrated at 2.30p.m. at St John’s Cathedral on 31st December 2006. All are welcome. The celebrant is the Right Reverend Terence Brain, Bishop of Salford.
This annual event gives an opportunity for anyone connected to the Society to give thanks for the achievements of the past year and to ask for blessings for the year to come. Refreshments will be provided after Mass.
