Garden Party – Saturday 16th June
CCRS is once again holding its annual Garden Party on Saturday, 16 June 2007 in the grounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Convent at 390 Parrs Wood Road, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 5NA.
We always need willing helpers to give us a hand on the day with setting out and running the various stalls so if you feel you can spare a couple of hours please contact Sarah Broomhead on 0161 445 7741 or via email at sarah.broomhead@ccrsorg.co.uk who will be able to give you more information. We are always very grateful for any donations for the cake stall, bottle stall and chocolate tombola as these are very popular and supplies disappear quickly on the day. Raffle tickets for the prize draw are also available via Sarah – the first prize is £1,000 and tickets cost £5 for a book of five.
This event has been taking place annually for more than 50 years and only succeeds because of the huge generosity of the volunteers and staff who give so willingly of their time and energy. As well as being our main fundraising event of the year, the Garden Party is also an opportunity for past and present ‘Friends’ of Rescue to come along and catch up with each other. On behalf of all the children and families with whom we work, we would like to say a very big ‘Thank You’ to everyone involved.
