Manchester City Football
On a cold and sunny Saturday (March 3rd) a hardy bunch of staff and volunteers gathered outside Manchester City football ground to collect on behalf of CCRS. The time passed quickly and even more rewarding than collecting the money (£1,100 in all) were some of the comments made by the fans. E.g. congratulating us on the work done by the Society. We were also (jokingly) asked if giving money to us would ensure victory for City and we solemnly promised that this would be so but alas City lost the match!
Many thanks to those who gave up their time to collect money on behalf of children and we are also very grateful to the football ground for giving us this opportunity.
