Dining, Dancing and Fundraising!

We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude once again to Maria and Tony Sivori and their friends and colleagues from the Catenian Association for their great generosity and hard work in organising a second Charity Dinner Dance on behalf of Catholic Children's Rescue Society.

Friday 25th April the Alma Lodge Hotel, Stockport, was the venue for a wonderful evening of dining, dancing and fundraising! A very popular tombola helped with raising funds during the evening and a raffle was held with prizes including a television donated by members of the Catenian Association and a chocolate hamper kindly donated from Harrods.

MC for the evening was Catenian Mr Peter Kerr and after a delicious meal and a very entertaining after dinner speech by Mr Ian Smith, Director of Children’s Services (Tameside), the dancing began to the lively music of 3-piece band ‘Midlife Crisis’.

Maria and Tony Sivori, long standing supporters of the Society, organised the event to raise funds for our continuing work with the children and families of the Salford diocese, particularly our Post Adoption service which provides information and support to adoptive families, parents and relatives of children placed for adoption and also to adults who themselves were adopted as children.

The magnificent sum of £ 3287.20 was raised during the evening and we once again extend our grateful thanks to Maria and Tony Sivori and their friends and colleagues for their on-going generosity and support.
