Our Children Meet a Prince
All the children from one of our children’s homes were invited to meet Prince Edward at a special event at Manchester Art Gallery on 28th March. The following is their story of what happened:
"We entered the Gallery and were all given identity name badges before going upstairs to make Freedom badges in one of the Gallery rooms. There was a jigsaw of a giraffe and everyone took turns at constructing it. Then the moment arrived and in came Prince Edward. The Prince took time to chat to all the children and he took a keen interest in the jigsaw. Then he was gone and we all went downstairs to a reception room. There was a four string quartet playing and waiters brought round soft drinks and nibbles on silver platters. It was all delicious. Prince Edward made a speech and then it was time to go home. It was definitely a day to remember."
