Garden Party 2008

Bishop of Salford, Eamon O’Neill and Sr. Philomena at CCRS garden party 2008

Dark skies and threatening rain could not stop the CCRS annual garden party from being a success on the 21st June. Thanks to our many volunteers, friends and helpers the event went ahead and raised over £8,000 on the day.

As ever the event was not just about the money but also provided an opportunity for everyone who has an interest in CCRS to come together and celebrate.

The photograph shows the Bishop of Salford (Right Rev. Terence Brain), Eamon O’Neill from BBC Radio Manchester and Sr. Philomena of the Franciscan Missionaries of St. Joseph enjoying some of the home made cakes.

Everyone at CCRS was very grateful for the many hundreds who turned up on the day to show their support and prove, if it needed proving, that CCRS will always have a loyal band of supporters in the Diocese and the community.
