Gerald (Gerry) McComb, RIP
21 April 1940 – 11 July 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerry McComb who had been a Trustee of the Society for more than 12 years.
Gerry’s death was sudden and unexpected and came as a great shock to his fellow Trustees and to all who knew him at CCRS. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the charity’s work and a committeed attendee at Trustee meetings. Through all the papers, reports and bureaucracy of Board meetings his concern was always focused on the needs of children. This concern was reflected in his other activities such as being Chair of the Governors at St Wilfrid’s RC Primary School in Longridge.
Gerry will be very much missed by his colleagues. He leaves a widow, Margaret, to whom he was married for 47 years, two sons and three grandsons. The Society wishes to offer Margaret and all the family our sincere condolences and to assure them that they are in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
